You have many choices for fellowship here at First Presbyterian Church. Whether you are looking for a group of people for support and Bible Study or for a group who just gets together for fellowship, First Pres offers you many opportunities to get involved.
We looked forward to returning to many of these activities once COVID-19 has passed.
Congregational Life Committee (CLC)
The Congregational Life Committee provides several opportunities for fun and fellowship throughout the year. Our mission is to encourage friendship and spiritual growth among the members of the congregation. Events include: Fall Church Picnic Opportunity Fair / Sign-up Sunday Harvest Luncheon Hanging of the Greens Staff Appreciation Week Spring Church Clean-up Day Road Rally Graduate Sunday 50-Year Member Recognition Leap of Faith (Leap years only) Confirmation Reception Alex Burke Euchre Tournament CLC also oversees the Church Directory, and the fellowship groups within the church such as Presbyterian Women, Presbyterian Men, Primetime Fellowship, Exploring Ideas, and Next Door Young Adults |
Presbyterian Women Women’s ministry is carried out through Circles and a number of events designed to bring church women together in fellowship, service, study, mission and ecumenical activities. Additional information about the church’s ministry with women may be obtained through the church office. Presbyterian Men Our men's group gathers monthly to engage in several fellowship and fundraising events, including: Food of Faith Ramp Building Sweetheart Dinner Harvest Luncheon Monday Night Football Pancake Brunch |

Worship Volunteers
There are many ways to get involved with worship, via individual and group efforts such as:
Office Volunteers
Office/Reception Desk - A veritable army of volunteers keep our office running smoothly. Persons willing to assist in the church office by handling phone calls or other duties are always welcome. If interested, contact the church office.
Herald Mailers - A volunteer crew gather every other week to assemble the church newsletter, The Herald. If you are interested in helping with The Herald, contact the church office.
Building/Grounds
You can volunteer your skills as Master's Gardeners to help beautify our church, or offer your logistical expertise within our Facilities Committee.
There are many ways to get involved with worship, via individual and group efforts such as:
- Donate FLOWERS for Sunday worship
- Sing in the CHANCEL CHOIR
- Ring in the BELL CHOIR
- Greet worshipers as an USHER
- Organize the sanctuary pews as a PEW MINDER
- Be an ACOLYTE who lights the candles
- Operate the SOUND SYSTEM
