YUCATAN AGAIN
Mayan Doomsday Prophecy? 2012 Apocalypse? With 2012 fast approaching, there is
a lot of hype about the end of the Mayan Calendar and suggestions predictions of
the great shift, the great awakening, the great transformation, ascension,
rapture. Don't give up on the world before God does! That is why another
MISSION/STUDY/SERVICE EXPERIENCE ON THE YUCATAN OF MEXICO AMONG THE MAYA
THEMSELVES IS BEING OFFERED. Another work-study team is being assembled in
concert with sister congregations to assist a fellow Presbyterian congregation
on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. The team will work in the underserved,
lowland central portion of the peninsula. There are several villages under
consideration. Based on the group size and scope of the project, the final
destination will be determined. This is an intense educational, cultural
immersion of faith and service.
The dates have been secured for January 27 – February 4, 2012. Applications are
available through the church office and deposits to reserve your seat are being
received. Please indicate your interest or make inquiries through Dr. Weenink in
