The Music Ministries of First Presbyterian Church offers an opportunity for members of all ages to help enrich worship through sacred music, as they provide musical leadership, and increase their knowledge of God, the Bible and worship. FPC Music Ministries also provides an opportunity for fellowship.
Bell Choir
Thursdays: 6 to 7 pm
High school age and older: The FPC Bell Choir provides an opportunity to learn about and ring handbells. The choir rehearses each Thursday, September through May, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Musical training is helpful, but not necessary. The Choir provides opportunities for stewardship as individuals develop and share musical talents, and participate as leaders in worship once every four to six weeks.
The Choir is led by Anna Leppert-Largent.

Chancel Choir
Thursdays: 7:15 to 8:45 pm
High school age and older: The Chancel Choir welcomes all adults who love to sing. The Choir rehearses weekly on Thursdays, September through May, from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. and also on Sunday mornings prior to worship. A commitment to regular attendance at rehearsals is the only requirement for membership -- previous experience singing in a choir is not necessary.
During worship, September through May, the Chancel Choir provides musical leadership through the singing of hymns, service music, anthems and musical responses. The Choir is an opportunity for stewardship as members share time and talents in preparation for meaning worship experiences.

Children's Choir
Sundays: 11:15 am to 12 noon
4 years of age through 2nd grade: The Children’s Choir provides musical, educational and spiritual opportunities for some of our youngest people of the church. As part of their weekly choir experience, the children practice a variety of musical activities that incorporate singing, movement, playing instruments and creating music in a loving, Christian environment. The choir participates in the annual Christmas musical on the second Sunday of Advent and the Mother's Day musical.

Grades 3 through 5: Alpha Choir builds on the musical and educational experience begun in Children's Choir. As part of their weekly choir experience, these young people use a variety of musical activities that incorporate singing, movement, playing instruments and creating music in a loving, Christian environment. The choir leads worship twice a year with its annual presentation of a Christmas musical on the second Sunday of Advent and the Mother's Day musical.

Chimers
Sundays: 9:50 to 10:00 am
Volunteers play the chimes (from the organ console) before worship each Sunday throughout the year. Any person with appropriate keyboard skills--the ability to play a single-line melody without accompaniment-- is welcome to play. This musical activity is an opportunity for stewardship as chimers provide 7 to 10 minutes of music as others gather to prepare for Sunday morning worship.
