Each young person has the opportunity to be matched with an adult congregation member. This “partnership” lasts at least until the youth graduates from high school. Both the youth partner and the adult partner are expected to contribute to the friendship. Prayer partners is a way to affirm each youth individually, and provides a tangible connection between youth and the adult members of the congregation.
