Why Give?
We approach finances differently. Money and wealth aren’t the goal here. The money you give is used to serve our community. When you give to FPC you are giving back to Bay City and to the wider community and world.
Giving to First Presbyterian isn’t about status. Or penance. It’s simply about sustainability — individuals deciding to keep pastors preaching, choirs harmonizing, youth groups meeting and coffee brewing.
We will never be a church that values people based of their material gifts. But without people who contribute generously and with joy, our ability to continue to serve the congregation and the community will always be in question.
We ask that you reflect on your commitment to this place and our mission. This kind of reflection is private. It’s personal. But it’s not complicated. And, for many, it can be framed in a single question: Am I giving in proportion to what I’m getting?
